Unit 002 Console
Unit brings a new perspective to storage, combining the precision of heritage steel fabrication with an expressive approach to form. Designed by Jonas Ravlo Stokke and developed together with Norwegian manufacturer Eskoleia, the series grew from a shared curiosity about steel's dual nature and what their combined expertise could draw from it. A designer's eye met by generations of steel know-how: production dating back to 1912, each piece still made to order at Eskoleia's factory in Kongsvinger, Norway. Six units, 24 colours, and a century of craft behind every fold make each Unit as considered in its construction as in its expression.

Oslo-based designer Jonas Ravlo Stokke’s approach to design moves between structure and intuition. Influenced by his architectural upbringing and technical background, he explores geometry through drawing and full-scale experimentation, developing an intimate understanding of the objects he designs. His work considers the entire life of an object, from its manufacture and distribution to how it is used, lived with, and ultimately becomes part of its surroundings.
